International Day of UN Peacekeepers

Yes, International Day of UN Peacekeepers is celebrated globally on 29 May every year. International days and weeks are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity.

UN Peacekeepers itself are military, police, and civilian personnel all working together to maintain peace and help countries transition from conflict to peace. 88,000 UN Peacekeepers are committed to peacekeeping in 12 operations worldwide.
