One Day Trip at Namhae

Namhae, located in Gyeongsang Province is an island which connected with bridge with Sacheon city in the right and Gwangyang city in the left.

Visiting Namhae is one of my 2020 bucket list! Although I just have half day trip to Namhae, but yeah let's find what to do here!

1. Germany Village (독일마을)

Why is there a Germany Village in Namhae?

You will find the answer while visiting here. After Korea divided into north and south, South Korea was so poor and government dispatch nurses and young men went to Germany for being a labour (find the story at movie named 'Ode to My Father' 국제시장). 

The Korean who came back to South Korea then built a home in Namhae, also import the materials from Germany. This place is symbol of the relationship between South Korea and Germany.

2. Cliff Hill - Namhae Skywalk

After look around in Germany Village, just 15 minutes away by car there is a cafe named Cliff Hill. It is not only cafe, but you may find skywalk experience! Pay 5,000 won for experience include shoes, then have one around walk with ocean view.

Tips: If you like a challenge, not only walk but try to do another pose also!

How to get there?

Germany Village to Cliff Hill

Above is the distance from Germany Village to Cliff Hill. I recommend you to visit inside Namhae by car, cause I didn't see any city bus inside. Go with your friends and rent a car.

The first thing to do is you need get a bus into Namhae. There is two ways: from Sacheon or Gwangyang. Check intercity bus terminal schedule for further information.
